For us, this Summer flew by! With the added days at the end of last school year because of all the “snow days” we had and they’re school is going back before Labor Day (Ya, that’s right!) we have felt the pinch of Summer this year. How bad is it that we still haven’t completely emptied out their backpacks from last year yet? Let’s pray that they didn’t throw a peanut butter and jelly sandwich in the bottom of their backpack that they were betting dear ole’ mom surely would have found by now. Ack!
If you’ve got a little one just starting Kindergarten or even Pre-School this year, or maybe you just like making each and every year feel special, this is the perfect way to spice up back-to-school shopping: A School Survival Kit! Making a big deal about starting school is awesome! It might ease some fears or hesitations about starting a new school or just get them hyped up for a year of school that they’re not particularly looking forward to. Make the ordinary EXTRA-ordinary!
This was the year that my little guy got a new backpack and lunchbox, so I included those with his kit. Aside from the school supplies his school requested he have with him on the first day of school, I also threw in some new shirts, a thermos, and a water bottle. In the lunchbox, I included a bento box, sporks, and ice packs.
Okay, so you’re ready to get started with your School Survival Kit, so what you need next is your FREE Printable! Um, yeah! So, all you do is click on the below image and it should open automatically. If not, just right-click on it and download it. Then, print it and cut it out. I pinned the sign to his backpack with a clothespin.
I hope you and your family have and AH-MAZING 2017-2018 school year!
